When people stop and reflect on the background of the US plus how the bunch of us got to the locale we happen to be in, it is often mystifying. One of the most interesting concepts of the spreading of the US is how it managed to expand so far. Beginning along the eastern shore towns, the European influence in this country grabbed onto its adventurous spirit until in time our land spread from sea to sea. Looking at the western areas of the country can leave somebody feeling in awe if he or she were to really consider the courage, determination, plus grit that were required to leave behind the relative comfort of towns with family plus pals as support plus just head west in search of a nicer life. Denver is actually one city with such an impressive past. Denver was an unknown, unnamed locale as far as the US settlers knew back then. In 1858, the actual growth of CO got started. Green Russell plus Sam Bates left their properties in Georgia plus began the search for gold and various minerals in a locale referred to as Auraria. Now, we know of this particular locale as a modest, sort of suburban looking place in Denver, CO. Back then, though, it was a section of the Kansas Territory, and in any event, a little bit of gold was easily discovered. Some people just needed to hear that to get packing. Soon, brave guys plus their families were coming toward the great west that provided people wealth while in the CA Gold Rush plus might just do so once more… You can see this Old West history throughout up-to-date Denver, from the name of the pigskin team – the Broncos – to the displays at the History CO Center, to the state-protected buffalo that are a little bit west of downtown Denver. Today, Denver welcomes people of all walks of life and embraces a progressive attitude with super brave people. From the annual PrideFest to the laws making marijuana legal, you can still feel the independent spirit of Denver people.
