I moved to Florida when I was eighteen.
One of my friends wanted to move and he offered to give me a ride for free if I helped him to do the driving.
It took us 19 hours, but we made it in one piece. It was the longest drive either one of us ever made. I lived in the south for twenty years and then I met my current wife. She was studying biology at college while working on her PHD. She came to the area for the marine biology program, but she was from San Francisco. She always planned to return home to San Francisco after she was done with the doctorate program. I knew this from the beginning, so I should not have been surprised when she finished and started talking about the west coast. We were eight months into our relationship, but I didn’t want her to leave. When she asked me to go to San Francisco with her, I had a tough decision to make. I knew she was the one, so I agreed to move and the two of us started looking for an apartment. It was hard to find a nice place in San Francisco, because everything is so expensive. Thankfully, my girlfriend had a job lined up with a very nice salary. I found a job working in a museum. I love California. Legal cannabis is one of the biggest perks of living on the west coast. I go to the legal cannabis dispensary every other day just to check out the new sales and specials. The cannabis shop employees know me by my first name. I also love the climate. I don’t miss the humidity for a single minute. I’m happy to give up rain and moisture for dry heat.
