When my wife suggested selling our condo in North Carolina to move to California, I thought she was having a midlife crisis.
I felt like the suggestion came from left field and I was surprised to say the least.
I came up with plenty of reasons why I thought it was a terrible idea. I didn’t want to move away from my mom and dad who were right up the road from our condo. Our oldest son was just graduating from high school. My wife is a smart cookie and she did enough research to make me feel intrigued by the idea of moving to California. She wanted to move to San Francisco and she already had a job offer to relocate. She bargained for the company to pay for the move if she agreed to accept the position and move to San Francisco. I was totally overwhelmed by the information and I felt like things were moving very quickly. The only thing that made me feel more at ease was the legal recreational marijuana laws in San Francisco, CA. I looked online and there were at least a dozen different cannabis shops within a few miles of our new neighborhood in Nob Hill. As soon as we landed safely in California, I eased my anxiety and stress with a big fat marijuana joint. The dispensary even gave me a discount since it was my first time. Living in San Francisco has its ups and downs, but I love it here. There’s a lot of tourists and traffic, but there are so many interesting and unusual places to explore.
