I no longer thought moving to Denver was the wrong move

For the first time, I found a place I truly liked and realized it was like the universe sent my friend to come to get me

For the longest time, I never knew what I wanted to do with my life. All my friends in high school had grand plans of what they planned to do upon graduation. Some wanted to travel abroad for a gap year to enjoy themselves before college. Others planned to join the college as soon as possible, complete the degree and start their adult life. I was simply thinking of finishing high school. Perhaps the reason for this was that I never thought I’d get that far when I fell ill. But, fate was on my side, and I got much better in high school. It seemed my adolescent body was determined to live a good life. After graduating high school, I worked in a local restaurant as a waiter for about 5 years. The job was good, and the pay met my basics. I still lived at home and helped around the house. One afternoon as we were getting ready for the dinner rush, a friend of mine from high school dropped by. She had graduated from college and moved to Denver and struck up a conversation about the city. She told me how great it was, and she was participating in an active outdoor lifestyle. I’d started hiking in the local area and thought hiking in Colorado sounded like fun. However, what was meant to be a hiking trip to Denver with my friend turned into me staying there for several months. For the first time, I found a place I truly liked and realized it was like the universe sent my friend to come to get me. I loved everything about it, including the cannabis stores, which were quite interesting. Weed is legal in Colorado, and I managed to get some CBD products I liked.
