I had a work conference in Denver last week, and I knew the weather was going to be cold and icy.
I do not like the fact that our boss tied up a conference in Denver during the middle of January.
My flight was stopped by two hours because there were no flights into Denver. The day that I flew to the location, it was snowing absolutely crazy outside. I packed plenty of warm clothing such as hats, gloves, a scarf, and three different jackets. When I finally arrived in Denver, I was numerous tenths late and I had to find a taxi to take myself and others to the hotel. I had a car tied up to pick me up at the Denver Airport, but the delayed flight caused concerns and I had to find a cab. As soon as I stepped outside of the airport, I was shocked by the cold and icy climate. I expected it to be cold, but I was frozen right to my core in a couple of hours. I had to unpack our suitcase and grab an extra jacket. I thought I was going to freeze to death outside the Denver Airport, while I waited for the cab to arrive. As soon as I got to the hotel, I checked into our room and turned on the heater. I had to unfreeze my fingers and toes. I sat in front of the heating system for numerous hours. Denver has a lot of attractions and culture, and I would have enjoyed visiting some locations while I was there last week. Sadly, it was so cold and icy that I didn’t want to go anywhere after the daylight went down.
