I drove all the way out to the country on Friday.
I had a customer that needed a service on a ductless HVAC unit.
I scheduled the service appointment for 9 am. I also scheduled a furnace tune up for later in the afternoon. I honestly didn’t know how long it was going to take to complete the repair on the ductless HVAC unit. The customer didn’t have a lot to say about the problem, so I was going into the job completely blind. I really didn’t know what to expect. The ductless HVAC job took a lot longer than I expected. The tune up job was in Orland Park and I was still an hour away when the appointment time was getting close. I contacted the Orland park heating tune-up customer and told the woman that I was going to be late. I apologized for the delay, but the customer didn’t seem very upset at all. She offered to reschedule her appointment until the next day. I hated to reschedule the customer, but I thought it was the best scenario in the situation. I didn’t finish with the ductless HVAC unit until well after 4. By that time of the day, I was ready to go home. I was much more equipped to deal with the repair on the next day. Even though it was Saturday, I took care of the Orland Park customer and handled the tune up. I didn’t even charge extra fees for the Saturday service since it was my fault that the job did not get completed on Friday.
