There are now recreational cannabis dispensaries all around Ann Arbor and Washtenaw

My family tried to get me to move with them to Michigan years ago, and now I’m wondering why I held off for so long. I was dead set on staying in the southwest despite what it was doing to my mental health. The summers were downright miserable with 110 degree heat! On top of that, there’s a lot of radiation in the groundwaters out there from all of the incessant nuclear bomb testing that the United States Government undertook during the Cold War. It’s not that you can’t find clean water in these areas, it’s just that you’re more likely to run into issues compared to a clean water state like Michigan. Swimming in a lake in Michigan for the first time was an amazing experience! There was little algae at the time and the water was crystal clear. I remember there being rocks on the bottom as well, which felt smooth at the bases of my feet. It didn’t take too much persuasion at this point to push me into leaving the southwest to move to Michigan permanently. I didn’t choose just any random place in Michigan either, I went with Ann Arbor in Washtenaw County. Named for its gorgeous trees and vibrant naturalism, Ann Arbor is the gem of southern Michigan. The University of Michigan has its main campus downtown, with the school’s famous “Diag” being a hub and focal point of the entire city. Now that there is recreational cannabis in Michigan, I’m seeing new cannabis dispensaries opening all over Ann Arbor and the rest of Washtenaw County. My favorite cannabis dispensary in Ann Arbor is located a few miles east of Gallup Park, which sits along the banks of the Huron River.
