I lived up north my entire life, i was used to a freezing season that lasted 8 months out of the year.
- It wasn’t strange to deal with hot & cold temperatures in the downside twenties.
I scraped ice & snow off my car multiple times a day. It was just life, but now I live in Jacksonville Florida. It is so much different, and first, the weather is night & day different, but the heat is intense & lasts forever. It is nice that I can get a suntan during the freezing freezing times in the north. It is nice never having to deal with snow & freezing hot & cold temperatures. I don’t cherish the humidity though, but second, the people in Florida are just so much nicer, however everyone is friendly & has nothing to do. Nobody wants to labor but nobody wants to rush either. Third, I cherish that there are plenty of things to do for entertainment… Jacksonville offers a wide range of dining chances from superb dining to fast food. There are arcades, shopping malls, ice rinks, bowling alleys, mini hockey, you name it. There are plenty of dealers for services like dental, hair care, Heating & A/C, plumbing, & electric. I always have a handy repair within a few minutes drive. That is so much unusual from where I used to live. I will admit that I miss the cold. I never get to wear pants & a jacket anymore. The winter season season just isn’t that bad. There are mornings that I rely on my boiler, but they are few & far between.
