The Denver Zoo is one of our number one places to take the kids.
There are a lot of fun activities in Denver, but the zoo is a wonderful location to spend the day.
The zoo has been open for more than 100 years. It has more than 70 acres of land. The Denver Zoo has numerous unusual exhibits including horses, sheep, large cats, foxes, and bats. Going to the zoo is very fun during the Springtime and fall weeks. The weather in Denver is absolutely unique , because of the location of the city. The Springtime and fall seasons are very nice for outdoor activities like going to the zoo or the park. Winter season in Denver can be absolutely cold and freezing and it is absolutely necessary to bundle up and stay indoors where it is warm. The Springtime and fall weeks are absolutely cool and comfortable and there is absolutely little precipitation. A few weeks back, the weather was an ideal for a day at the zoo. I packed up the picnic tote with some peanut butter and watermelon jelly sandwiches, grapes, carrots sticks, potato snacks, and juice boxes. The kids and I took our Denver Zoo passes and headed into the hub to visit our favorite fuzzy animals. We spent all day at the zoo, because the weather was absolutely perfect. There were a couple of clouds and the sky but the daylight was shining all day. I grew up with a dad in the military and I’ve lived all over the world. Still, the mile high town is a superb location to be in and I wouldn’t want to have our children anywhere else in the country.
