Denver has a lot of fun activities to offer, but skiing is absolutely one of my favorite outdoor activities. When my girlfriend suggested going to Denver for the week, I was thrilled with the idea. My girlfriend made reservations for us to enjoy several activities while we were in Denver. We went to two different ski resorts and spent all day skiing and snowboarding. On one particular evening, we went to a ski resort to enjoy a winter tradition called snow tubing. That was exhilarating and a lot of dangerous fun. When my girlfriend and I went to Denver, I did not realize that Denver had legal cannabis. It was shortly after cannabis was legalized. My girlfriend suggested going to a recreational cannabis shop and I thought it was a bad idea. I didn’t want to get into trouble and I didn’t know if our home state would be able to find out that our driver’s license was scanned in a cannabis supply shop. My girlfriend wanted to try cannabis while we were in Denver, but I refused to go into the shop with her. I let her pick out what she wanted and I smoked cannabis with her, but I didn’t want my name in the system or on any FBI record or file. That information can follow you anywhere and possibly keep me from getting a legal firearm.
