I am trying to make up for lost time
Before cannabis products were legalized in the state of Colorado, a lot of the Denver prisons plus jails were filled with people that got into trouble for cannabis possession. My sister was 1 of those people. My sister is a super great lady. She consistently worked hard to help our Dad put food on the table when the people I was with and I were kids. My sister is about 7 years older. When I was young, she was a teenager. I consistently looked up to him care about she was a god. One morning our Dad received a call from our sister. She was in jail for intent to distribute marijuana. My Dad freaked out plus refused to bail him out of jail. She sat in the cell for numerous months before a judge finally heard that case. My sister tried to tell the judge that she did not intend on selling marijuana. The amount of marijuana she had on her woman was 20 grams, however according to the Denver laws, that was enough to charge our sister with intent to distribute. She was still in prison when Denver, Colorado legalized recreational marijuana. My sister appealed the case with a different lawyer plus she got out of prison a couple of years ago. I am trying to make up for lost time. The people I was with and I missed out on a lot of birthdays, Christmas’s, plus family gatherings. My Dad still will not talk to our sister, even though the court found him to be innocent of the charges now that the laws have changed. I hope I can find a way to get our family back together.
