The room didn't have any cold AC

My friends and I went to Cocoa, Florida for spring break last year.

Some of our friends went to Daytona Beach and a couple of people went to Miami, but I had some relatives in Cocoa, Florida, and they offered to let my friends and I stay in their pool house.

Since my friends and I didn’t have to spend $1,000 on lodging that week, we had a lot of extra money in our pocket. We certainly had a lot more money than some of the people that decided to go somewhere other than Cocoa, Florida. We drove all the way to Cocoa and it took about 12 hours. We arrived in the middle of the night and I didn’t want to bother my relatives. We hung out at a rest stop on the interstate until the sun came up. We still arrived at the house at 6 a.m., but at least people were awake and moving around. My relatives were being extraordinarily hospitable. The last thing I wanted to do was wake them up at 4 in the morning. The pool house was much bigger than my friends and I anticipated. Everyone could have stayed with us for free. The place even had climate control. We had access to a ductless mini-split HVAC unit that easily controlled the indoor temperatures. I set the thermostat for 70 degrees and I didn’t think about it at all for the rest of the week. My friends and I enjoyed our stay. We spent all day at the beach and at night we enjoyed cool temperatures and lots of frozen drinks.
