People looking at the accident causes more traffic than the actual accident

I love working in Chicago and I visit there often, but I would never live in the city.

I prefer to live in Orland park, a suburb that is about 30 or 40 minutes away from downtown chicago.

Orland Park is just south of the city. I usually try to take the commuter train to work whenever possible. I only drive to the city if I plan to stay late at the office. Last weekend I had to stay late every single night of the week to prepare transcripts for one big meeting. I left the office around 8:00 at night and I didn’t expect to have any traffic. One of the reasons why I decided to stay until 8:00 was to let all of the traffic go. I figured it would be smooth sailing back to my place in Orland Park. Unfortunately, there was traffic backed up for a while. There was an accident on the side of the road and people were slowing down to look at the accident. The accident had already been cleared from the road and the police were surveying the scene. Honestly, there was no reason for traffic to be moving slowly at all. I didn’t get back to Orland Park until almost 10:00 p.m. I walked into the front door of the house and the first thing that my wife said was hello and we are having air conditioner problems. The air conditioner in the house was not working and she wanted me to call a repair service. I knew the air conditioner was making some noises last weekend and I hoped the problem was going to go away. I guess that was too much to ask.
