We have been thinking about moving to Springfield, Missouri.
We haven’t been living in Missouri very long, but both of us want to be closer to the city. I found a job working in Springfield and I have been commuting for the past 3 months. I plan to stop commuting as soon as we can find a place. Last week the realtor took us to see a few houses that were in our price range. One of the places was pretty nice, but it was still above our threshold. Another one of the houses was in bad disrepair, but it was nearly 50,000 under our budget. The main problems in the house were the hot water heater and the kitchen ac. The house did not have central AC and that was a pretty big issue for me. After we looked at the houses, I decided to call around to a couple of different Springfield HVAC businesses. I got a quote on the price to upgrade to central ac. The biggest expense was going to be the ductwork. One company executive suggested going with a ductless heating and cooling system instead. I was not familiar with ductless heating and cooling. I agreed to meet with the Springfield heating and cooling contractor so we could discuss all of the options that were available. The Springfield heating and cooling company met me at the house along with my realtor and they gave me a fair and honest estimate to add a brand new hot water heater and a ductless mini split system in the house.
