This week, it attracts thousands of visitors from across the country and even across the world. The sizzling air balloons are the main attraction of the festival, and giant yet graceful, they take to the skies and transform the horizon into a moving vista of vibrant colors. The balloons are designed in every imaginable shape and hue. There are plenty of the classic teardrop shape and fanciful characters. The array captures the imagination of you and aged and every walk of life. A festival highlight is the “Balloon Glow” event, when the sun goes down and the sky darkens, the balloons light up in a synchronized display. The vision is magical and a bit surreal. While the balloons are the main draw, the festival has plenty to offer. There is an activity and entertainment for all ages. Tasty food gave by local vendors, live tunes performances, displays and arts and crafts keep all the people busy. There are even the rides and games of a carnival.
