When I moved to Birmingham, AL I figured it would be toasty sizzling all the time! When I built my home I focused strictly on AC; I made sure to fit a high velocity cooling system into the network of the entire home! My goal was for those toasty temperatures to have the air suddenly whip around the home and lower the temperature in minutes rather than hours.
- It works like a dream! The Spring and Summer season is so comfortable due to my enjoyable cooling system… However, I skimped out on the heating option.
I just had a ductless heater put in the dining room. I figured I would save the pipes from getting too cold! But I truly thought the winter season wouldn’t be that bad. I figured fifties are okay. Well it is in the fifties during the day and then lowers to the thirties. There is a distinct winter season eason. The option of snow is there, however so when I did a whole winter season freezing with a ductless heater, I had to update. I ended up splurging to make my high velocity system both heating and cooling capable. I needed the option of a heater for half the year. I consistently thought of AL as being one of the hotter states. In the grand scheme of things, it isn’t that warm. I feel like Texas and Florida get way hotter. I just consistently consider anything down south to never get cold. Shame on me though, but now that I have a toiling heater, living in Birmingham has been truly enjoyable.
