I went to the San Francisco Bay Area to spend some time with friends. I stayed in my friends has apartment during the 5-day stay. I knew the guys from college and I had not seen them in a couple of years. I had some vacation time to take at work and I mentioned that on social media. My friends immediately offered to put me up in San Francisco if I wanted to come for a visit. They even picked me up at the airport. As soon as we left the San Francisco Airport, the guys asked if I wanted to go to a dispensary. I thought a lot about recreational marijuana while I was on the airplane. After a week of using recreational marijuana everyday, I didn’t want to leave the city. I was happier and mentally healthier than I had been in years. I am strongly considering making a move this fall.

The weather is one of the reasons why I decided to move to San Francisco. I lived in Northern California for a long time. A few years ago, I spent some time in Phoenix, and I spent most of the time on indoor activities. I wanted to be in air conditioned spaces because I wasn’t used to the weather. But Phoenix will be much cooler in January, so I wouldn’t have to worry about having air conditioning when I am on my hikes.

Last year, I was in Phoenix Arizona for my anniversary, and this was something that was recommended to me and my husband by our good friends who had traveled to Phoenix the year before.

Phoenix is such an amazing city. The different terrain adds to its beauty. We stayed in a gorgeous resort that had views of the surrounding mountain range. The resort was the epitome of luxury, and it had some wonderful amenities. Pools, spas, lounges, fitness center, yoga, multiple dining options, concierge service, you name it, the hotel had it on the premises. One thing that I loved the most, was that they had a great air conditioning system. This is something that is needed while in the middle of the desert. When I was not sitting by the pool or luxuriating in one of their spas, I was inside the room enjoying the cool breeze from the air conditioner. I kept the temperature on the thermostat at 70 degrees for the entire week that we were there. Every time we walked back into the room, that blast of cool air felt like heaven. Where we live it is hot as well, but we get more humidity. Phoenix has dry heat, and it takes a bit to get used to it. I would visit Phoenix again and stay at the same resort. The amenities were great, and the air conditioning was perfect.

When recreational cannabis was legalized in Michigan, I couldn’t wait to visit the dispensary in Whitehall.

I stepped inside and realized that I had no idea what to buy. I was totally overwhelmed and clueless. I walked around and looked at the huge selection of products and consumption methods for almost half an hour. I left without making a purchase. I then decided to educate myself. I am a long-time marijuana user and advocate. I was relieved and delighted when recreational cannabis was finally legalized in Oregon. It’s along Central Ave between 3rd St and 7th St on April 20th every single year, and this year is poised to be a blast. There will be food vendors of all kinds lined up and down Central Ave, giving all stoners a bountiful selection of delicious munchies to satisfy their appetites.

It was at an outdoor music festival in the Isleta Amphitheater that lasted for a whole weekend with different acts each day.
