To my knowledge there has never been a great movie about Denver, Colorado. It’s so weird to me that although we are bigger and in every way better than Boulder, there are a ton of shows and movies set in Boulder, and almost none in Denver. The main movie that people mention is called “Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead” which is a great title, but not so much a great movie, and it has next to nothing to do with our amazing Mile High City. I would like to start a Denver Film Festival, so instead of digging into the past I started looking for talented people here and now who want to make a movie in Denver. Much to my surprise I found a ton of interest to this idea, and although I can’t say his name, one of the starting members of the Denver Nuggets pledged ten thousand bucks to help get the festival together! This guy just loves his community, and since he has a kid who loves making home movies, he wants to help support and grow that part of Denver. With some funds to back me up, I started recruiting local talent to make short films for my Homegrown Denver Film Fest. Because the Mile High City is known for getting high, I started visiting local cannabis dispensaries to see if they would support the festival. It seems like everything is really coming together, we have the Denver fair grounds booked, and three different cannabis dispensaries will be there with tents and tables to sell their wares.

To me, Seattle is all about the music.

I understand there is a long, rich history to the city, and I dig it.

But I am not a history guy, I am a music guy, so my focus has always been on how many amazing musical acts have come out of one scene. Seattle, Washington is probably most musically famous for being the home of grunge rock, as everyone knows. Some of the greatest rock bands of the last fifty years came out of Seattle, from Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Pearl Jam to Mudhoney and the Screaming Trees. If you look past the grungy hair and ripped flannel shirts of the rock scene, you will find a bevvy of other musical talent that has started off in Seattle. Hip hop stars from two generations, Sir Mix A Lot and Macklemore, both proudly claim Seattle as their home, and still perform a lot of local shows. A very different kind of musician is Kenny G, and like him or not you cannot argue with the worldwide success of that Seattle native. A great many classic alternative bands always formed in and around Seattle, including Death Cab for Cutie, the Foo Fighters, the Posies, Modest Mouse, and the Presidents of the United States of America. Jimi Hendrix did some of his best creative work in Seattle, he was not a hometown boy, although we do still like to claim him! Some of these musical acts have been heavily involved with the thriving cannabis dispensary scene in the city, as well.

The Pacific Northwest was a truly amazing place to grow up.

Although I was right on the coast — so close I could see the ocean from my bedroom window — there was a very small-town feel to it.

We were a tight knit group of neighbors, a few miles away from the closest town of any real size. I am glad I got to spend my childhood in such a peaceful place, but after I graduated high school, I knew I needed to head to the big city and start a new life in Seattle, Washington. Denver is a great place for camping, hiking, plus backpacking overnight. My friends plus myself prefer to be outdoors. Every one of us went camping multiple weeks ago plus it was the middle of spring. I was upset about overnight temperatures and the forecast was supposed to be very clear with truly little clouds. My friend plus myself found a place to Camp when the sunshine stopped. As the sun went down, it continued to get very cold. There was a fire, but we did not want it to burn all night long. These are the kinds of mistakes that some Modern campers will make and then the next day they wake up with a forest fire and wonder how that happened. I know for sure that the extra sweatshirt I pack for emergencies was the only real thing that saved me from having hypothermia on that particular night that we went camping. I did not truly want to be near the campground plus every one of us were just stuck with the freezing weather all around us and no place for us to go.

My neighbor plus myself have a two living room apartment outside of Denver. It’s multiple miles away from work however all of us can get there truly certainly using the Denver metro. Every one of us moved for winter skiing in Denver but suddenly gained information on Denver. Denver has a lot to offer other than winter weather + ski resorts. It scares to see one large your heard of mule deer, but last weekend all of us saw a huge heard. It was truly freezing Outdoors Plus on proper to see the amount of deer in a single site. Every one of us were ready to head back to the automobile plus Neil inside of the heat. I did not actually want to leave after seeing the herd of deer. My friends plus myself watched for a few minutes before heading back to our car. The deer did not look love they were going to be leaving anytime soon and outdoor temperatures in Denver we’re starting to get lower with each hour that passed by us.

My friends plus myself prefer numerous usual winter athletic activities. Every one of us go to a number of unusual Resorts that are located across the country. Denver, Colorado is a section of country with many skiing activities. There are 12 unusual Resorts just an hour from Denver. There are many hotels plus Cottages that are available inside of the city. We don’t necessarily need to stay out by the ski resort. Every one of us prefer to stay downtown in Denver where there are bars, clubs, restaurants plus nightlife. The cottages at the resort are truly nice, but they really only have a couple of activities plus restaurant dining. My friend’s place myself spent multiple weeks in Denver during the last winter. The weather was truly sunny plus warm while the two of us visited. When the weather was cold at night, every one of us went to Keystone. During the daytime hours, my friend plus myself played a few rounds of hockey. Every one of us appreciated 18 holes at more than two unusual local hockey courses. Every one of us had a great time will everyone of us visited Colorado. The best part of our stay was definitely the accommodations. We paid a reasonable price for the room every night. We had updated Furnishings plus amenities. The room wasn’t equipped with an electric fireplace. All of us kept the electric fireplace running throughout the entire time and all of us were provided with warm air as well as comfort throughout the evening. The fireplace was a nice way to heat the room and it glowed with different colors of red and arms.
