Rocklin, California is a city located just outside of Sacramento in the northern part of the state of california. Rocklin has a population around 50,000 people. Rocklin was founded around the time of the California Gold rush. Rocklin was a place where minors could use the streams and rivers to pan for gold. Rocklin has a Mediterranean climate. The winters are very cold and wet. Average temperatures during January and February are around 40°. It rains a lot during the winter months. It’s been raining every single day for the past 2 weeks. I love living in Rocklin and I have been here throughout the last 10 years. I went to school in Sacramento and I found a job working at an office in Placer county. My boyfriend and I got an apartment in Rocklin about 6 months ago. The apartment is close to both of our jobs. I have a 10-minute commute to the hospital and my boyfriend has a 10 minute commute to the Rocklin HVAC business where he works. My boyfriend is very handy and skilled with heating and AC repairs. He has been working at the HVAC business for at least 5 years and he earns a salary now instead of an hourly wage. He doesn’t have to work on as many HVAC repairs now that he is an executive. We’ve been thinking about buying a house here in Rocklin for the last 6 months. We talked to a realtor and even looked at some places in the hills. It’s a really big move to make and I’m honestly not sure if I am ready to make this next step or not.
