They moved to Jacksonville about 6 years ago after my dad retired. My mom didn’t really want to move down south, but my dad had some friends down there and he pushed my mom to move. Most of the time my mom stays at home, but my dad spends a lot of his friends going golfing and fishing. While my wife and I were on vacation with the kids, we went deep sea fishing, scalloping, and crabbing. We left the kids with my mom one night so my wife and I could take a casino cruise. We actually had a lot of fun considering we were only there to spend time with my parents. Unfortunately, our vacation came to a screeching and sudden halt when we walked into the door at home. After driving in the car for 8 hours, my wife and I were ready to take off our shoes and put up our feet. There was no heat in the house and it was noticeable. Even though it was 80° in Jacksonville, it was only 45° at home. I told the kids to leave their jackets on until I figured out what was wrong with the heat. I had to contact a local heating company to get the problem figured out. I tried everything to get the furnace to work, but I was unable to solve the problem. We had to wait until the next morning for a local heating company to come look at the furnace.
