It was about 5° quarter last night then it was supposed to be, but i did not have the furnace on until after midnight when I no longer could bear the cold, however when the furnace came on, it made a absolutely loud and peculiar sound.
I turned off the furnace and turned it back on and the same sound happened again.
I decided to leave the furnace on even though it was making noises. I had to get the freezing air out of the home and the furnace was the only way I knew how. When the system shut down completely, I know I made a mistake when I left it on. I contacted an emergency repair supplier in Sioux Falls, SD, the emergency repair professional was already responding to a call. The dispatch officer told me that she would call me when the repair specialist was finished. I did not receive a telephone call from the repair supplier until 4:00 in the afternoon, at that time, the lady from the Sioux Falls heating and a/c repair supplier told me that emergency repair crews would not be able to repair the furnace until the afternoon, she had a first a.m. appointment that was 7:00 and I took that appointment. I absolutely could have called a unusual heating supplier in Sioux Falls, but it was already after 4:00 and 7:00 a.m. was only a couple of hours away. I was already through the coldest part of the night anyways and waiting but not having to spend money an extravagant emergency repair fee.
