As a business contractor, I often travel for work assignments.
It is the number one reason why I don’t have a wife and children.
Every time I have a girlfriend, she complains when I have to leave for 6 months at a time. Commercial building contracts often last several months and it is my responsibility to be present on the job site every day. There are times when I can leave for the weekend, but it’s impossible to have a long distance relationship with most women. I finished a commercial building a couple of months ago and my boss gave me the choice between three different cities for the next assignment. One of the choices was San Francisco, California. I visited California in the past, but I was just a child at that time. I only remember what memories my parents have recalled over time. I see the pictures of the visit to California, but I don’t remember anything from the trip. When my boss mentioned San Francisco, I quickly agreed to take the assignment. I leave in a couple of days and I will be in California for the next 5 months. I’m particularly excited because San Francisco has a lot of fun activities and restaurants. The state also has legal recreational marijuana laws and there are pot shops all over the region. While I am in the area, I am going to check out some of the recreational marijuana dispensaries. I haven’t used cannabis since I was in college, but I’m not opposed to trying it again. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable evening.
