Things were pretty busy on friday.
I went to work at 9:00 in the morning and the boss had a repair waiting for me.
I didn’t even stay at the office for the Friday morning meeting. My boss wanted me to get started on the commercial HVAC repair right away. I drove out to the Minneapolis, Minnesota location for the commercial HVAC repair. The owner of the business was waiting for me to arrive. The business owner was patiently waiting for help. He could not open the business that morning until the commercial HVAC system had been fixed. The business deals with ceramics and heat. Without any air conditioning in the shop, temperatures would have been more than 100° all day long. I started diagnosing and investigating the system as soon as I arrived. One thing that I noticed right away was a buildup of dust and dirt was in the ductwork. I notated all of the indoor air pollutants when I made my assessment. I did not believe the indoor air pollutants were keeping the system from working properly, but they were definitely causing problems with indoor air quality. The problem with the AC system turned out to be dirty evaporator oils. I told the owner of the Minneapolis business that he needs to have someone out here regularly to clean and maintain the HVAC system. With proper maintenance, problems like this don’t usually occur. I was happy to be able to lend some assistance and help the Minneapolis business owner with the HVAC problems. When customers are happy with my work, it makes me feel immense pride for my job as a certified contractor.
