I live in Elgin, Illinois! My family is a huge time hockey family, and we care about following the hockey season plus playoffs are a huge deal to all the people.
What my pal and I do is try to get tickets to major games about once a month.
We then pack in the vehicle plus go to the rink to see the Chicago Blackhawks; They are doing better every year, however one of these years they are going to get the Stantley cup, and for now it is just really ince to have a team to support. Chicago is only a forty minute drive! So my pal and I can save money by taking the vehicle or using an uber if my pal and I want to drink. The kids care about going to the rink plus getting nachos, pop, plus other snacks. My partner plus I care about having a athletic interests team my pal and I are both into. We all have our number one players that my pal and I support plus cheer on. My boys are both in small time hockey leagues in Elgin. Once they get older plus a little better, I will move them into the Chicago leagues, however i know they aren’t professional athlete level, however it is great that there are multiple skating options for them. It is also nice that Elgin, Illinois mostly has cold weather. There is plenty of time to find ice, snow, plus occasions to skate. The boys practice basically all year around plus even will play on the pond that freezes in our backyard. For us, the cold weather isn’t a huge deal at all. It is undoubtedly one of the reasons my pal and I like Illinois so much.
